A delegation from the UN, consisting of representatives from the UN Development Programme (UNDP), the UN Office for Project Services (UNOPS), and the UN Population Fund (UNFPA), is currently in Odesa.
The visit of five UN ambassadors and other esteemed guests was organized as part of the collaboration with UNDP in Ukraine and other agencies.
During their working visit to Odesa, the delegation toured facilities supported by international organizations.
The mayor expressed gratitude for the assistance provided to Odesa, particularly for the involvement in the renovation of one of the units of the hospital No. 8.
Gennadiy Trukhanov noted that the hospital plays a crucial role, even though it does not function as an emergency care facility. Lives have already been saved here, as patients injured in enemy attacks were brought in and received urgent medical attention thanks to the skilled staff and modern equipment.
Meeting participants also discussed future collaboration, including attracting international investments for infrastructure projects such as the reconstruction of sewage systems and the construction of housing for internally displaced persons.
