Last week, healthcare representatives from Odesa participated in a significant conference titled “Rehabilitation Innovations and Healthy Lifestyle - 2025”. This event was organized with the support of the Rehabilitation Management Association and Odesa National Medical University.

During the conference, contemporary achievements and future plans for the development of rehabilitation services in Odesa and Southern Ukraine were discussed. The experience of Odesa in creating opportunities for veterans to engage in adaptive sports, including participation in international competitions, sparked considerable interest. The effectiveness of this method for medical-psychological rehabilitation and the social integration of Ukraine's defenders was highlighted.

Additionally, topics related to the implementation of a patient-centered approach in rehabilitation assistance were discussed, exemplified by the City Clinical Hospital No. 10. Specialists from City Hospital No. 8 shared their experience in integrating rehabilitation infrastructure into the natural environment, utilizing training areas that replicate natural and urban surroundings.

It was emphasized that Odesa possesses a strong medical and recreational potential for developing a comprehensive rehabilitation system in Southern Ukraine.
