Deputy Mayor of Odesa Pavlo Vugelman held a meeting with the head of the UN Women Office in Ukraine, Sabina Nicole Fraser.

Also present were the Director of the Department of Labor and Social Policy Olena Kytayska and the Mayor's advisor on gender equality, Liliya Leonidova.

The main topic of discussion was the implementation of gender policy at the local level.

The parties discussed the status of projects aimed at assisting victims of domestic and gender-based violence.

Participants reviewed the city's efforts to combat violence, particularly the establishment of specialized support services, such as day centers and mobile psychological support teams.

Representatives of the UN Women Office conducted a monitoring of women's rights and the rights of vulnerable populations in Odesa.

Based on the report, the city will receive technical and methodological support in combating gender-based violence.
