On December 24, a vibrant event took place at the Odessa Zoo – the ceremony of passing the Bethlehem Peace Light, brought to our city by Raisa Kraieva, the leader of the "Samotsvit" children's and youth creativity center.

The Bethlehem Peace Light is an international scouting event held annually before Christmas. Its primary aim is to spread the symbolic flame lit at the birthplace of Jesus Christ across the globe. This fire represents acts of kindness and support.

During the ceremony, representatives of the Black Sea Fleet of young sailors and volunteers were also present.

Warm greetings were exchanged during the meeting, along with many heartfelt words and wishes for peace.

This event was initiated by the honored cultural worker of Ukraine, Olena Alexeyenko.
