Authorities have arrested two men aged 32 and 49 for illegally possessing explosives. Police received information indicating that they were storing military-grade munitions at their residences. Searches conducted under a court order revealed items resembling grenades. Bomb disposal experts confirmed these to be hand fragmentation grenades, classified as military munitions. The items have now been sent for forensic analysis.

“We have informed the suspects of their charges under Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine regarding the illegal acquisition and possession of military munitions. According to current laws, they face up to seven years of imprisonment. During the investigation, which is supervised by the Odessa specialized prosecutor's office, we will determine the origin of these munitions and further details of the crimes,” stated Oleg Zhukovsky, head of the Podilsk District Police.
