From April 20 to 26, the World Ice Hockey Championship took place in Hungary.

Among the participants was Ilya Bobrov, a graduate of the Odessa Youth Sports School «Dzhynestra», who played for the Ukrainian U18 team.

The Ukrainian team demonstrated an impressive performance, finishing in second place.

In Division 1A, seven teams competed, and the results for the Ukrainian team were as follows:

Hungary – Ukraine 1:7;

Ukraine – Denmark 1:5;

Ukraine – Australia 6:3;

Ukraine – Slovenia 7:1;

Kazakhstan – Ukraine 2:3.

The athlete was trained by Ruslan Korop from the «Dzhynestra» Youth Sports School.

The hockey department at the KZSPU «Dzhynestra» Youth Sports School has 69 athletes enrolled.
