From November 18 to 25, 2025, the Muay Thai European Championship took place in Athens (Greece).
The competition featured 536 athletes from 46 countries.
The Ukrainian national team was represented by athletes from the Comprehensive Children and Youth Sports Schools No. 7 and No. 16 in Odesa.
In the «wai kru» category, champions included Ivan Rasputny, Anastasia Yevtushenko, and Irina Ladynenko (all trained at CYS No. 7), while Valeriy Denysov (CYS No. 16) won a silver medal.
Among the athletes aged 12-13, the students of CYS No. 7 performed admirably. Diana Savotina became the champion after defeating Polish athlete Sandra Kazimirska, and Ivan Rasputny earned a bronze medal.
In the 14-15 age category, athletes from CYS No. 7 also secured two silver medals, with Kyrylo Berezovskyi and Yelyzaveta Velikova becoming prize winners.
In the U-23 category, the title of European champion was claimed by Elina Perstniova (CYS No. 16).
Moreover, the students of CYS No. 7 excelled in the adult competitions. Mykhailo Serdiuk and Bohdan Studnev became European champions, while Nikita Kuts and Dmytro Zanin won bronze medals.
The athletes were prepared by coaches: Hanna Yevtushenko, Volodymyr Pishenin, Liliya Shapoval, Hanna Avakova, Mykhailo Mitaki, Andriy Vakarysh (CYS No. 7), and Maksym Neledva (CYS No. 16).
