Odesa athlete Nikita Sheremet, competing for the Ukrainian national team, achieved a remarkable junior world record during the final relay race of the 4x50 freestyle at the European Championships, clocking an impressive time of 20.84.

This success at the short course swimming championships held in Lublin adds to Nikita's series of achievements in 2025.

In August, at the junior world championships in swimming in Otopeni, Romania, he won gold in the 50m freestyle with a time of 21.75, equaling the junior world record set by American Michael Andrew and establishing a new competition record and a national record for Ukraine.
